We are a friendly, professional and enthusiastic group of volunteers responding to 999 calls in partnership with West Midlands Ambulance Service NHS Trust (WMAS) Our role is to support the NHS ambulance service. An ambulance crew will always follow us to calls. However being community based, our responders can often arrive quicker than the ambulance service - reducing the time patients wait for emergency help - this is critically important in the case of a cardiac arrest, stroke or diabetic emergency.
