The Guild of Benevolence originated in 1912 to help the families and dependents of all the Marine Engineer officers who lost their lives when the Titanic sank. Since then the Guild has grown to provide charitable relief and assistance, both financial and guidance, to certificated Marine Engineers and Professional Members of the IMarEST globally.
