Our volunteers who are recruited and trained in the local community, make life-changing differences to local families each week- giving parents hope for the future, and their children, a childhood they deserve. In an ideal world, you wouldn't need a charity like Home-Start. Parents would be able to raise their children free from difficulties. But life isn't like that. Many parents are struggling with a whole host of issues- poverty, poor mental health, domestic abuse, isolation, and lack of family support networks. And this is where Home-Start steps in. Each week our volunteers visit families in their own homes, offering a range of emotional and practical support. It's just a few hours each week, but those few hours can make an impact that lasts a lifetime. With your donations, we can reach out to even more children and families who are struggling.
