About Shree Jagannatha Society UK
In Hindu religion there are four abodes (dhams). One of the abode is in a place called Puri, Odisha situated in the eastern part of India, where the main deity worshiped is known as Lord Shree Jagannatha from which the English word “juggernaut” is derived. There is no dedicated place of worship for the devotees of the Lord in United Kingdom. The main objective of SJSUK is to build, maintain and operating a place of worship for the devotees to discharge their spiritual discourse and promote the practice of Lord Jagannatha culture and philosophies amongst the wider Hindu communities in United Kingdom. The facilitation of regular prayers, conducting socio-cultural, religious, multifaith events to promote religious harmony.
Delivering socially relevant projects e.g. building e-libraries to benefit the society.
Delivering spiritual and educational events.
