About us
North Yorkshire Scouts provides skills for life to over 8700 young people and adults in England’s largest county. Our diverse county spans major towns and cities such as York, Harrogate, and Scarborough, as well as rural communities in the North York Moors and Yorkshire Dales National Parks.
Scouts are do-ers and give-it-a-go-ers. Yes, we go camping, hiking, swimming, abseiling, cycling and canoeing. But we also get to hang out with our friends every week – having fun, playing games, working in a team and taking on new challenges.
The main activities of North Yorkshire Scouts are:
Growing and developing Scouting in the County.
Ensuring that young people are meaningfully involved at all levels Supporting
the Scout Districts of North Yorkshire.
Delivering activities and events at scale
Providing equipment and resources to Districts and Groups
Operating Ellerton Scout Water Activity Centre and Watson Scout Centre
