Story
Thank you for taking the time to donate to DeafBlind Ontario and support this cause! Any amount is appreciated and will directly go towards supporting the London Lions Mercel home, where DeafBlind supports 5 individuals 24/7. This upgrade will improve accessibility and safety, particularly in stairwells, closets and transitional areas. Being blind can still include ability to perceive light. We appreciate DeafBlind working to make this environment as safe and accessible to residents and the staff that support them.
I am joining my friends, Trixie and Dave, in raising money for DeafBlind Ontario. Yvonne Elaine 'Sweetie-Pie' Kretschmer was a generous loving person who had progressive deafness and vision challenges. Despite these and other challenges, when she passed away in 2020 at only 44 years old, she was a happy person who spread a lot of joy.

The main event is happening in Ottawa, but we will be walking in London, exploring Westminster Pond trails May 23.
