Thank you for all your love and support! It's been such a great honor being runway models in the Be Beautiful Be Yourself Fashion Show in Denver, and raising money for the GLOBAL Down Syndrome Foundation's life-saving medical research for people with Down syndrome.

One of GLOBAL's critical priorities is funding medical research addressing the prevalence of Alzheimer’s in the Down syndrome population. Did you know, the gene for the APP protein that leads to the brain plaques and tangles associated with Alzheimer’s is found on the 21st chromosome? And people with DS have 3 copies of the 21st chromosome! As a result, by age 40, nearly all people with DS have these plaques & tangles in their brains. By 50, 30% show clinical signs of dementia. And by 60, 50% of people with DS will be diagnosed with Alzheimer’s. GLOBAL funds the critical research needed to find viable treatments and a cure for this devastating disease for people with DS, and for the general population.
