Supporting the Duncan Family in the Detroit Free Press for A-T

Detroit Free Press for A-T with the Duncan Family · 31 March 2025 to 30 October 2025 · Start fundraising for this event
Please join me in supporting the Duncan Family as they participate in the Detroit Free Press Half Marathon in honor of their little boy, and our grandson, J.R. (John Roland), who has been diagnosed with A-T.
J.R. loves gymnastics, playing with his big sister, visiting the library, watching Paw Patrol, and all things trains/construction.
After a year-long journey to find answers and support J.R.'s gross motor delay, his family received a life-changing diagnosis for J.R. of a rare genetic condition, Ataxia Telangiectasia (A-T).
A-T is a neurodegenerative disease with significant impacts to quality of life, and with no treatment or cure. A-T causes loss of muscle control and balance, cancer, lung disease, and immune system problems in children and young adults, shortening their lives.
