At Diva Salonspa, we believe that beauty paired with purpose can create powerful change. That’s why we’ve proudly supported WaterAid Canada since 2006, joining Aveda Canada in their mission to bring clean water, sanitation, and hygiene to communities around the world.

With the support of our incredible guests and team, we raised $19,277.95 last Earth Month. And this year, we’re walking again—with even more purpose.

On April 22, we’ll be Walking for Water—and we’re walking for Rachel.

Rachel is a bright, determined 12-year-old girl from Chinganji, Malawi. She dreams of becoming a doctor one day—but without access to clean water, her dreams are on hold. Every morning, Rachel wakes before sunrise to walk for miles and collect water from a shallow, unsafe well. The water often makes her family sick, and the hours spent walking mean she misses school, day after day.

We’re walking for Rachel because no child should have to choose between water and education.

We’re walking to raise awareness and help ensure a future where girls like Rachel don’t have to carry the weight of water on their shoulders.

For her classmate Merifa, that future is already here—thanks to WaterAid’s work and the generosity of people like you. A 30,000-litre water tank changed her life, giving her more time for school, her studies, and even choir practice.

In many countries, taps, wells, and pipes delivering clean water simply don’t exist. Even where they do, water supply services are often not affordable or accessible, or aren’t designed to last.

That’s why our goal is simple: to ensure everyone, everywhere can access safe, clean water. And with your support, it's something we can achieve within a generation.
