Janna's fundraiser for The Brain Tumour Charity

London to Brighton - The Brain Tumour Charity · 15 September 2024 ·
2024 was going to be a Good Year. We rang it in surrounded by good friends and family, ready to take on the world... but our world came crashing in around us early in the year.
On January 11th, the love of my life, James Mayes, went for an eye test to check out why he'd been getting headaches. They referred him to the eye hospital, who referred him to get a scan, and by that weekend, we were sat down together to be told that they'd found a large tumour in his temporal lobe, and that it would need to be removed.
James has been nothing but incredibly strong in these intervening months, making it through a craniotomy (brain surgery) and a grueling course of radiation and chemo. He's still on chemotherapy until the end of the year, doing everything he can to fight this tumour.
If he can do all that, then I can do this 55 mile ride, and you can help support too 💪
The world of brain tumours and cancers is terrifying, but The Brain Tumour Charity has been a light in it all. We've turned to them for unbiased info and helpful connections, and love that they are helping to fund all important research to beat the big bad C.
So, what do you think? Can we raise a bunch of money to keep these folks going? In light of 2024 being a crap year instead, I'm going to turn it around and raise £2024 towards brain tumour research. Help me out by chipping in and sharing this around!
Thanks, and much love to you all 💖
xx Janna
