Chillin’ 4 for Charity – Presented by UNBC JDC West

UNBC JDC West is partnering with the Spirit of the North Healthcare Foundation to host a community-wide fundraising initiative: Chillin’ 4 Charity.

This event invites local businesses and individuals to rally together to fund an Endobronchial Ultrasound (E-BUS) for the University Hospital of Northern BC (UHNBC). The E-BUS is essential for diagnosing and staging upper respiratory diseases, including lung cancer and esophageal cancer. Currently, patients in Northern BC must travel long distances to access this specialized procedure. Bringing an E-BUS to our region means earlier diagnoses, faster treatment, and care that’s closer to home.

On November 22, starting at 2:30 PM at the CN center before the Cougars game, the incredible team from UNBC JDC West will take the plunge to support one of the coldest — and kindest — fundraisers of the year: Chillin’ 4 for Charity. With hearts full of purpose and courage to match, students, coaches, and faculty will jump into an icy pool of water dressed in fun costumes.
