Bruce's Battle Squad is a Family & Friends Fund supporting Duchenne UK

Story

As part of the Duchenne Dash AT HOME organised by Duchenne UK, I will be embarking on a journey to raise funds for Bruce's Battle Squad. Over 6 weeks (from 6th April - 18th May), I will be covering a distance of 600km, through cycling, walking, and swimming.

The final day will be a true test of endurance as I conquer a 5km swim, a 50km cycle, and finish with a 25km walk. But I won't be alone - my amazing team of friends and family will be there every step of the way, supporting me until the end.

Every penny raised during this event will go directly to Bruce's Battle Squad. This family fund was established through Duchenne UK after our eldest son was diagnosed with Duchenne Muscular Dystrophy in 2021. We are determined to make a difference in his life and the lives of others affected by this devastating muscle-wasting disease.

Duchenne UK is at the forefront of the fight against Duchenne muscular dystrophy. They connect top researchers with industry experts, the NHS, and families like ours to accelerate drug development at every stage. Their goal is clear: to end DMD once and for all.

We are filled with gratitude for your support in this journey. Your contribution will bring us one step closer to finding a cure for DMD and improving the lives of those living with this condition. Together, we can make a lasting impact.

Join us in our mission by donating today! Your generosity will help us reach our target amount of £2,500 and bring hope to families affected by Duchenne muscular dystrophy.
