Story
Over the last year I've been fortunate enough to spend my days tethered, tandemed, and tied to some of the most incredible, entertaining, and inspiring people who also happen to be blind or visually impaired athletes. Every event I participate in I am grateful to move my body alongside such cool people!!! Amongst the athletes are also the most dedicated and organized staff who coordinate some incredible events.
That is why this September, I’m joining a fundraising campaign for Northwest Association for Blind Athletes (NWABA) as part of Give More 24!, a powerful 24-hour giving day benefiting nonprofits across Southwest Washington.
NWABA provides life-changing opportunities through sports and physical activity for children, youth, and adults who are blind and visually impaired—and I’ve seen firsthand how deeply their work matters. Whether it’s the confidence of a child riding a tandem bike for the first time, or the pride of an athlete crossing a finish line, NWABA helps people thrive.
