I’m walking 5km on July 23rd as a symbol of the journey thousands of women and girls in Burkina Faso undertake daily to fetch clean and safe drinking water. All proceeds from this event will be used to drill two boreholes, and construct five latrines in the community of Kona. Here's how your gift will transform lives:

- Women and girls will no longer have to spend hours a day fetching dirty water

- Everyone in the community will have access to a reliable source of clean water for their daily needs

- There will be a reduction in water-borne illness and disease
