Story
We have ridden or contributed to all of the previous 18 Britton Fund rides and were there for the very first one in San Jose! Every year, a dedicated community of friends, colleagues, and tree lovers comes together for something extraordinary: The Britton Fund Ride. What began as a simple idea—pedaling for a cause—has grown into a beloved annual tradition of challenge, camaraderie, and purpose. Riders push themselves not just for the thrill of the journey, but to support research and education that strengthen the health of our urban and community forests across the West.
In partnership with the WCISA 92nd Annual Conference and Tradeshow, the 19th Annual Britton Fund Ride will take place on Monday, April 27, 2027, just outside the breathtaking entrance to Yosemite National Park, California. Riders can choose short, medium, or long routes totaling approximately 100 scenic kilometers—a journey of quiet forests, rolling hills, and shared determination.
A meaningful highlight of the day is our tree-planting event with The TreeCircus at a local elementary school. Surrounded by children, teachers, and community mem
