About the Race

I’ll be running the Tamarack Ottawa Marathon (my first marathon!) on Sunday, May 24, 2026. My primary goal is to cross the finish line in under 4 hours, with a stretch goal of 3:45. Over the next 4 months I'll be running over 700 km to train.

About the Cause

I am proud to be raising funds for WaterAid Canada. Clean water, decent toilets, and good hygiene are basic human rights, yet 1 in 10 people worldwide still live without clean water close to home.

I chose WaterAid for its operational excellence and high-impact approach:

- Multifaceted Cause: Access to clean water saves lives through improved sanitation, enables girls to go to school as they no longer need to spend their days collecting water, and reduces carbon by cutting unnecessary plastic waste.

- Long-term Focus: WaterAid works with local governments and partners to build sustainable systems that last for generations, ensuring communities can maintain their own water supply.
