Story
This July, I’m climbing Mount Kilimanjaro to support children’s literacy.
Nearly 90% of children in Sub-Saharan Africa cannot read and understand a simple text by age 10. Without literacy, opportunity is limited before life even begins. Funds from this climb will support CODE’s work in Tanzania — providing books, teacher training, and the foundation every child deserves: the ability to read.
This journey is also personal. I’m climbing with my older brother, who has summited Kilimanjaro six times. This will be his final ascent. There won’t be another chance to stand on that summit together.
I’m climbing for children’s futures — and for a once-in-a-lifetime moment with my brother. Please help me reach my $25,000 CAD goal for the CODE Summit for Literacy 2026. Together, we can change a child’s story.
