For 35 years, this Southeast DC-based nonprofit has worked to ensure that every child and their family has the resources to thrive. I've been connected with HK for 20 years. I have seen the youngest HK kids become HK alumni with thriving lives. HK makes a real difference!

It's been phenomenal to see their growth and impact in Anacostia. From record enrollment in summer camp and after-school programs in 2024, to new academic and enrichment programs including PreK, math tutoring and STEAM, to completing their new Horton's Hub to expand reach to new neighborhoods and families.
