Story
A lot of you may or may not know, my Dad was diagnosed with Stage 4 lung cancer less than 6 months ago and has been taken from us far too soon at just 61.
Dad was always the fittest, healthiest, most motivated and disciplined man I know, and has always been my biggest motivator for staying fit and healthy. He’s regularly partaken in multiple triathlons, half ironman’s, long hikes, long bike rides, even 2-3 months before his diagnosis he was cycling up mountains in Mallorca.
A Hyrox may seem like something so small in comparison to some of the stuff he’s achieved in his lifetime, but to me personally, I know he’d be so proud of me for doing this. For him, my family, his beautiful wife, his children, his siblings, his parents, for close friends and colleagues who I know have also been devastated by the impacts of this cruel and unfair disease.
So this is for you Dad, Poppa Bear, Daddy.
I’ll love you endlessly.

This March I’m taking on the HYROX challenge to support people living with cancer for Macmillan Cancer Support.
I have pledged to raise £400, which could run the Macmillan Support Line for nearly an hour. I’d be so grateful for any donations to help me reach my goal.
📖 £10 could pay for 10 copies of our Help with the cost of cancer booklet.
📱 £20 could provide one session of emotional support to a person living with cancer with a Macmillan Buddy.
💚 £39 could pay for a Macmillan Nurse for 1 hour.
There are currently over 3.5 million people living with cancer in the UK today. It's Macmillan's goal to help more people with cancer get the best care the UK has to offer, but they can’t do this without donations from people like you.
Thank you!
