Story
As winners of the St. Catherine Challenge in 2019 and 2020, Pi Theta Epsilon at San Jose State University is excited to once again join the fundraising efforts of AOTF to support occupational therapy intervention research!
Here at SJSU, we have three amazing faculty members who have received AOTF grants and are conducting instrumental research to promote quality of life with various populations. Dr. Megan Chang, PhD, OTR/L, MS, FAOTA, is researching the effect of Telehealth mindfulness practice to build resilience in parents of children with autism. Dr. Chiao-Ju Fang, PhD, MA, OTR/L, is researching the use of a coaching app to increase social participation in young adults with autism. Dr. Katrina Long, OTR/L, EdD, MS, BA, is conducting a clinical trial to promote physical activity routines for individuals with early Parkinson’s Disease. We are grateful to have these three leaders making meaningful contributions to evidence-based occupational therapy practice.
With your generous donation, you are making an investment in the well-being of populations who benefit from OT, which includes anyone who experiences difficulty with daily activities due to injuries, illnesses, or disabilities.
