Story

Please join me in supporting our cure team as we participate in the Detroit Free Press Marathon events in honor of our 4 yr old son, J.R. (John Roland), who has been diagnosed with A-T.

Our family received a life-changing diagnosis for J.R. of a rare genetic condition, Ataxia Telangiectasia (A-T), in December 2024. We are channeling our energy in to raising awareness and funds to support treatments or a cure for A-T.

A-T is a neurodegenerative disease with significant impacts to quality of life, and with no treatment or cure. A-T causes loss of muscle control and balance, cancer, lung disease, and immune system problems in children and young adults, shortening their lives.

To show your support please consider:

1) Donating to my fundraising page

2) Registering to walk or run during the Detroit Free Press weekend events on their webpage and then creating a fundraising page here!
