Story

Please join me in supporting our cure team as we participate in the Detroit Free Press Half Marathon in honor of our little boy, J.R. (John Roland), who has been diagnosed with A-T.

J.R. loves gymnastics, playing with his big sister, visiting the library, watching Paw Patrol, and all things trains/construction.

After a year-long journey to find answers and support J.R.'s gross motor delay, our family received a life-changing diagnosis for J.R. of a rare genetic condition, Ataxia Telangiectasia (A-T).

A-T is a neurodegenerative disease with significant impacts to quality of life, and with no treatment or cure. A-T causes loss of muscle control and balance, cancer, lung disease, and immune system problems in children and young adults, shortening their lives.
