Story
This September, I’m joining an inspiring fundraising campaign for Northwest Association for Blind Athletes (NWABA) as part of Give More 24!, a powerful 24-hour giving day benefiting nonprofits across Southwest Washington.
NWABA provides life-changing opportunities through sports and physical activity for children, youth, and adults who are blind and visually impaired—and I’ve seen firsthand how deeply their work matters. Whether it’s the confidence of a child riding a tandem bike for the first time, or the pride of an athlete crossing a finish line, NWABA helps people thrive.
👉 Here’s why I’m fundraising for NWABA:
Each summer, my brother Logan and I travel from Richmond, Virginia to join the incredible team at Camp Spark and the Northwest Association for Blind Athletes. Camp has become a second home for us—not just as staff members, but as part of a community that uplifts and inspires.
As someone who lives with Stargardt's Disease and is visually impaired, I know firsthand how life-changing it is to attend a camp like Camp Spark. Growing up, these experiences gave me a sense of belonging, confidence, and connection. Being surrounded by people who understand your journey is powerful—and every child deserves that.
At Camp Spark, young people with visual impairments get the chance to be themselves, build confidence, and grow through sport and physical activity. They’re often overlooked, but they deserve the same opportunities as their sighted peers—to be student-athletes, leaders, and changemakers.
Your donation helps us continue this mission. It allows us to create safe, empowering spaces where these kids can thrive. Together, we can build a future where every child—regardless of ability—has the chance to shine.
Please consider donating today. Let’s make a difference, one life-changing experience at a time.
