About us
Prudhoe Youth Project (PYP) was set up in late 2018 to increase a range of inclusive activities for young people in the Prudhoe area. We aim to help young people reach their full potential.
We have 7 trustees all from the local area with a range of skills including youth work. In September 2020 PYP appointed its Project Manager, Gemma, who has since then developed our team of Youth Workers.
PYP runs weekly sessions including: Happy Faces, Girls Group, Lads Group, Seniors and Juniors. Our sessions take place in term time only and are run from 3 different venues. We also run holiday activities and residentials as well as offering 1:1 support. Some of our trips include: Flamingo Land, Bowling, Ice Skating and many more.
We aim to support young people in many different areas including: mental health, sexual health and social networking. PYP focuses on what young people need and we try to support them in a way that is chosen by them. We support a range of young people and try to integrate them into other sessions, for example, young people with Special Educational Needs or those who are vulnerable.
We want to continue supporting our young people throughout our sessions as well as trips and residentials and into their futures. Thank you for all of your support and any donations would be greatly appreciated.
