About us
Redditch Wheels Project manages Redditch Skatepark, the UK's largest outdoor charity-supervised wheeled sports facility. We provide a safe, inclusive, and positive environment for young people to engage in Skateboarding, BMX, and Scootering, directly utilizing this culture to improve young lives
Skills & Confidence: Wheeled sports help participants gain skills and overcome fear, significantly boosting self-esteem and confidence for use in school and life.
Mental Health: Involvement promotes fitness and offers a crucial outlet for stress reduction, fostering a strong sense of achievement and belonging that supports positive mental health.
Social Impact & Pathways: We break down social barriers, helping youth forge friendships, and offer real-world opportunities, with participants progressing to respected riders and charity volunteers.
Projects & Outreach: Riders are involved in ramp design and feedback. We host coaching and holiday programs, providing free equipment to overcome financial barriers, ensuring participation for all disadvantaged youth. Deliver projects that contribute to a reduction in anti-social behaviour.
Events: We stage major events and competitions, hosting world-class professional riders to inspire local youth and raise the profile of wheeled sports.
