About Street Support Network
People experiencing homelessness find it harder to access services than the general population, thus worsening their circumstances. Street Support’s services directly address this disadvantage by mapping all available services and accommodation, which allows people who are experiencing homelessness, those at risk of becoming homeless, and those who support them to readily find how and where to access the services they need.
Through the streetsupport.net website and app, people who are experiencing homelessness or those at risk of becoming homeless, frontline workers, volunteers, the police, the NHS and the public can quickly and easily see which support services are available nearby. These may include but are not limited to medical, dental and mental health support services, benefits advice, help with substance abuse and available accommodation.
As well as ensuring this information is effectively shared and easily accessed, Street Support works with other charities and grassroots organisation to co-ordinate their services more efficiently, so that those in need due to their experience of homelessness, or risk of it, are more able to get better support when they need it. Street Support does this through its online tools, mapping and analysing services which provide invaluable support to other organisations in the effective delivery of services. Offline, Street Support builds on this by hosting workshops, enabling conversations and building relationships.
