Why I’m Running for BGC Ottawa

As I lace up for the Tamarack Ottawa Race Weekend, I’m not just thinking about the finish line. I’m thinking about the kids and teens who walk through the doors of BGC Ottawa every day.

For many, life can be tough. Home isn’t always stable, and the pressures of school can feel overwhelming. BGC Ottawa is the safe space in between—a place where kids can just be themselves. It’s where they laugh, play, create, and learn what it takes to become their best selves.

This organization isn’t just providing programs; they’re building futures. They champion children and youth in our community, giving them the tools and support they need to thrive today and tomorrow.

I’m running to ensure every young person in Ottawa has access to these life-changing opportunities. With every step I take, I’m raising funds to help BGC Ottawa continue creating spaces of positivity and belonging.
