In 2025, my family experienced firsthand the compassion and support that the Last Mile Fund provides to patients and families facing some of life's most difficult moments. In honor of my father, Ed Merrill—a lifelong Randolph resident, devoted husband, father, grandfather, friend, and dedicated supporter of our community—we are coming together to walk (and for some, run!) in his memory while supporting a cause that means so much to us.

The Last Mile Fund helps families when they need it most, providing assistance with transportation to medical appointments, family meals, comfort items, alternative therapies, funeral expenses, and meaningful final wishes that create lasting memories.

Last year, 655 participants and 54 sponsors raised more than $162,000 to support local families. This year, the goal is even greater: $200,000 to continue bringing comfort, compassion, and support to those in need.
