Story
Please join me in supporting the Duncan Family as they participate in the Detroit Free Press Half Marathon in honor of their little boy, J.R. (John Roland), who has been diagnosed with A-T.
J.R. loves gymnastics, playing with his big sister, visiting the library, watching Paw Patrol, and all things trains/construction. He is our little light and is a happy little boy
After a year-long journey to find answers and support J.R.'s gross motor delay, his family received a life-changing diagnosis for J.R. of a rare genetic condition, Ataxia Telangiectasia (A-T).
A-T is a neurodegenerative disease with significant impacts to quality of life, and with no treatment or cure. A-T causes loss of muscle control and balance, cancer, lung disease, and immune system problems in children and young adults, shortening their lives.
