I've created this page in order to raise funds for both The Royal Marsden Cancer Charity and Demelza in memory of Grace, a beautiful and brave 5 year-old girl. She was diagnosed with an inoperable brain tumour in September 2011 and sadly lost her battle in July 2012.
The Royal Marsden is a world-leading cancer centre, providing treatment and care for more than 40,000 cancer patients every year. It is also at the forefront of cancer research. Its work influences how all cancer patients are treated and cared for, not just in its own hospitals but all over the world.
The funds raised will specifically go to their Paediatric Brain Tumour Research fund to research conditions such as Grace had, which due to the location a lot of currently available cancer treatments are ineffective. Demelza is a great charity with the aim of "adding life to days, when days cannot be added to life".
Demelza runs two children's hospices (one in south east London and one in Kent) and also have a Community Team covering East Sussex and parts of South West Kent.
