Thank you for visiting my page and for your support.
This year I am undertaking the biggest challenge of my life so far….to run the Virgin London Marathon on 21st April 2013 (eeeeeeeek!!).
Those that know me will appreciate that the decision to apply for the marathon last May was half-hearted, on a whim and without any real thought as to what it would involve (and to be honest, no real expectation to get a place!).
Then in September 2012 the pack landed on my doorstep saying I had been accepted and the realisation (and panic) set in! I have never run anywhere near this distance before and I am petrified at the thought, but with hard work, sheer stubbornness and a good cause to run for, I am determined to complete the 26.2mile course - hopefully in a respectable time.
The first and most important task was to decide which charities I wanted to run for. This was a hard decision, but I have decided to chose 2 charities that I believe will motivate me to complete the course; one that has personal links to my family and one that I genuinely think is a more than worthy cause: ‘Families of Ocean Ward’ and ‘Make-a-wish Foundation’. (Please see the individual pages below for more information)
It is not possible to split sponsorship equally between the 2 charities, so please chose the chairty page that you would like to donate to below for more information. Alternatively you can donate equal amounts to both charities by visiting both pages (I know this isn't ideal, but please dont let it put you off).
