Members of the Concern Worldwide (UK) Senior Management Team decided it was time to show what we're made of and so Rose, Bob and Peter A have challenged ourselves to the Sprint Relay of the 2017 London Triathlon on Saturday 22nd July and are aiming to raise £1,500.
You can see Rose make a splash at swimming 750m in open water (she is terrified and not looking forward to experiencing the Thames). Watch Bob cycle past in a flash (well maybe not a flash - given he is on his 30 year old steady stead) on the 20km bike challenge, and Peter will make a dash in the last leg of the day!
All to raise vital cash for Concern worldwide (UK). Through this challenge, Concern are raising awareness of their work in East Africa. Severe drought and persistent conflict have led to 16 million people facing starvation. Thousands of families in the Horn of Africa have been forced to leave home in the coundtryside and move to urban centres to seek help.
Concern has been working in this area for over 40 years and is currently providing efficient and effective emergency aid to those most in need. The aim is to reach 1.8 million people, and with your help this is possible.
