D-DAY 75 GOLF CHALLENGE

Team photo

What is the challenge?
Join us on D-Day + 1 (7th June 2019) challenging yourself to 75 holes representing 75 years since the D-Day landings.  Instead of the usual 72 holes we are aiming to go that extra mile, just like the Army did for us 75 years ago.  It will be a tough challenge but all for a good cause.

Winning team The top fundraising team will win an overnight golf break at the Celtic Manor, the most iconic golf resort, to include a four ball on the 2010 Ryder Cup Course   – a wonderful opportunity not to be missed!  The winner will be announced 15thAugust 2019.

Why 75? 2019 marks, 75 years since the Charity was formed 75 years ago in 1944 to ensure that soldiers returning from the Second World War and campaigns such as D-Day were taken care of.  ABF The Soldiers’ Charity’s central purpose has not changed in its 75 years of existence: we exist to honour that debt – to ensure that all soldiers, veterans and their immediate families can live a life of independence and dignity.

We owe a debt to those who served – in the D-Day landings and Normandy campaign, and in all subsequent conflicts – just as we continue to owe a debt to those who serve our country today.  ABF The Soldiers’ Charity stands ready to continue supporting soldiers, veterans and their families for the long haul; and we are ever-grateful for their service.
