The aim of the Deaf Nepal Expedition 2018 team is to develop friendships with the Nepalese Deaf schools and to offer support by providing resources and materials to improve their quality of life and education. The team is working in partnership with the Pahar Trust Nepal, to fundraise as money as possible for the Nepalese Deaf schools in various ways, such as doing individual challenges, team challenges and events. The team will fly to Nepal for a couple of weeks to visit and volunteer with Deaf schools and Deaf associations in 2018.
The pahar trust has identified a Deaf school/Hostel in an area outside Pokhara.
we aim to raise as much money as possible to build a new Hostel for the children, the school I’ll need refurbishment Work carrying out on it which we as a team will be helping out with when we visit in November.
the local community have pledged to raise half the funds needed for the project leaving us with raising the other £20,000. We do need to continue raising as much as we can to lessen the strain on the local community
