Hello!
Thanks for visiting our team fundraising page. We all work at Greene King Brewery and we’ve joined together to raise money for Macmillan.
Our challenge is to complete the Yorkshire Three Peaks challenge, as a team, within 12 hours on 17th May 2014. The distance we have to cover is 25 miles over three of Yorkshire's finest peaks!
This may sound challenging enough, however, with our team consisting of Kim Burton, Jo Cocksedge, June Vane, Hayley Chapman, Nick Bean, Alana Self and finally Martin Pearson, this will no doubt make it infinitely more difficult!
CAKE SALE 27/03/14 - We put on our aprons and got making and baking for our cake sale on 27th March 2014. We raised over an amazing £300 and so many of our friends donated some fantastic creations. A special mention must go to Julie (Nigella) whose cherry and chocolate cake raised £53.20 at auction!
TRAINING WALK 06/04/14 - The Beans made their way to Uppingham for a stroll around the countryside. 15 Miles and a few hills later, we made it back covered in mud with one person narrowly missing getting eaten by a St Bernard!
SAVOURY BAKE SALE 01/05/14 - We got our aprons on again to whip up some savoury goodies to sell at our Savoury Bake Sale on the 1st May. So many generously donated to some very tasty items to sell, and we raised over £250!
TRAINING WALK 04/05/14 - The Beans made their way up to the Derbyshire Dales for an Epic Adventure across the hills, starting in Edale. After a three hour journey to our destination, a huge shock awaited us as we stared up at the mammoth task in hand. We climbed to over 500m, and walked 19 miles. We encountered huge rocks, large drops, heathers, bogs, lost shoes, lost people, lost paths, and after 11 hours, descended back to the village of Edale in the last few minutes of daylight for a well earned pint in the local!
QUIZEEOKE 09/05/14 - A fabulous fundraising evening, hosted by the Bean There, Done The Three Peaks Team. A quiz, followed by Karaoke with lots of drinks and tortillas thrown in! Sold out Raffle, with some excellent prizes meant that in total we reaised over £1300! Thank you to everyone who supported the evening, was a fabulously funny evening!
