In memory of Mark Fischbach 29.4.61 - 16.05.19

My father Mark sadly passed away from Kidney Cancer at the age of 58. After his diagnosis of advanced Kidney Cancer two years ago he took early retirement and continued to enjoy life with with his family doing, things he enjoyed.

He remained amazingly well for two years until eventually the treatment stopped working. After this his decline was rapid but he continued to remain stoic and defiant in the face of unbeatable odds. He died peacefully at home, surrounded by his family. Thanks to the amazing Sue Ryder palliative care nurse, and the district nursing team he didn't suffer.

Kidney Cancer is a hidden disease, it rarely makes the news, nor does it tend to show symptoms until the disease has progressed considerably. Kidney Cancer UK is a charity that not only supports those affected by Kidney Cancer, but also funds clinical research into treating the disease. We hope that the money raised for them goes towards alleviating the suffering of others affected by this condition.

Sue Ryder are a charity that provide hospice and palliative care. Although we cared for Dad at home, many people do go into a hospice. Sue Ryder is entirely funded by donations. They were always there for advice and support when we needed it. Your donations will ensure that others will continue to receive the same amazing care that we did.
