Gareth and Neill are taking part in a number of athletic and multi sport challenges this year.
They want to raise money for four different charities; NICFC, Marie Curie Hospice, Alzheimer’s Society, and NICHS.
Their main aim is to raise funds for, and the profile of, these four charities whilst completing the personal challenges that include a Coast to Coast Race, and an Iron Man within the same year.
This team page has been set up so that you can choose which charity you would like to donate to when sponsoring Gareth & Neill.
Gareth & Neill began their summer of fundraising during May by completing the 26 Extreme Coast to Coast Multisport Race across Ireland. Traversing Ireland in a west to east format, over two days, the pair found themselves running, paddling, and cycling their way along 320km of the best terrain Ireland has to offer.
Since the Coast to Coast, and as a warm up for their Ironman in August, Gareth and Neill completed a further five triathlons across Northern Ireland. These are; Causeway Coast Triathlon, City of Culture Derry/Londonderry Triathlon, Dalriada Glenarm Triathlon, Ballywalter Triathlon, and lastly the Titanic Triathlon on August 4th, just two weeks before they faced the immense challenge of an Ironman.
To end their summer of fundraising races the pair both competed in the Triangle Triathlon Club's Ireman in Groomport, Co.Down on Sunday 18th August 2013.
