Hope for a Child is a charity providing support to local communities in Uganda, targeting mothers especially.
Hope for a Child’s main aim is to teach mothers how to support themselves and their families by empowering them to earn money.
The way Hope for a Child aims to achieve this is by bringing together adults – usually women – and teaching them how to save, loan out to each other and start up a small business.
Hope for Child hopes to cause a rise in standard of living which in turn puts families in a better position to provide food, education and basic medical needs to themselves.
Aurigny Staff intend to raise money for this charity by holding an Extreme Sleepover.
We plan to have the ‘sleepover’ outside the Guernsey Airport Terminal building on the date specified above.
Our team is made up mainly of people employed by Aurigny Air services, along with a representative from Island Fm (Mike Huston).
So please dig deep and support us in our efforts to raise funds for Hope for a Child projects in Uganda.
Hope for a Child enable the worlds poorest families and their children to rise out from poverty.
