We are the crew of Narrowboat Indigo Dream and we are doing a marathon with a difference this weekend, yes THIS weekend. This marathon involves cruising round the BCN for 24 hours - there are over a 100 miles of canal in the city and almost as many locks - we have we set ourselves a gruelling route to celebrate the 50th anniversary of the event. The boat with the most points wins and with 47 boats taking part, the competition is a hot as the weather! Knowing that our efforts will help some good causes will keep us motivated - will you support us and our charities?
We fundraise for many charities that are dear to our hearts, but we'd like to dedicate our efforts on this year's BCN Marathon Challenge to some local greyhound charities who work so hard to give greyhounds a life after racing. We have chosen three rescue centres round Birmingham all of whom are sorely in needs of funds.
