So, I've done plenty of 5ks. In less than a month I will have done a 10k. But I want to prove to myself than I'm taking this running lark seriously (because the regular running, the fancy sneakers, all the high-tech running gear and the improved diet isn't serious enough, clearly) and so I've signed up to do the Worthing Half Marathon.
As with the first Color Run three years ago, donating will ensure I'd feel too guilty to wimp out, and I've chosen two worthy charities to fundraise for. Cardiac Risk in the Young (CRY) supports young people diagnosed with potentially life-threatening cardiac conditions and offers bereavement support to families affected by Young Sudden Cardiac Death. CRY promotes and develops heart screening programmes and funds medical research. Coppafeel are on a mission to stamp out late detection of breast cancer, ensuring that the general public know the signs and symptoms of breast cancer, checking boobs regularly throughout and giving the confidence to see a doctor if you notice anything that doesn’t feel right for you.
I'm trying to raise money for both charities equally so if you are able to split your donation, I would be grateful. Donating through JustGiving is simple, fast and totally secure.
