KCL Rugby Fundraising

Team photo

The KCL men's and women's rugby teams have paired up to do some fundraising!! We are pairing up to participate in the GRIM challenge, an 8 mile assault course held in Aldershot's Army vehicle testing grounds where we will be encountering trails, hills, mud, a lot of water, moguls, a sand dune, logs, railway tracks, cammo nets and a bog!

Date of event: 6th December.

Both rugby teams have been sadly effected by brain haemorrhages in some way, so we have joined together to raise money for Headfirst which supports research into the causes and treatment of brain damage no matter how caused.

Alice Smith's (KCL 2013 Alumni) mother, Joanne Smith, who was an integral part of the women's team as a supporter, suddenly died of a spontaneous brain haemorrhage.

Angus Swanson (KCL current student) suffered a brain haemorrhage whilst playing rugby. Angus has decided that all the proceeds donated on his behalf should go towards Headfirst.
