Kagyu Samye Dzong Glasgow is part of the Rokpa Trust a registered charity and our centre at Ashley Street Glasgow is affiliated to Samye Ling Monastry in the borders.
We are raising funds to extend the work of the centre which offers instruction in Buddhist philosophy and meditation within the Karma Kagyu lineage of Tibetan Buddhism.
As part of our charitable work we run a busy soup kitchen supplying soup, hot food and sandwiches to the homeless in partnership with other local organisations. We are taking part in an abseil in June 2015 organised by the Rotary Club of South Queensferry under license from Network Rail to raise money to help us supply food to meet rising demand and to fund our commercial kitchen.
