Two things have led me to you reading this now;
1. A niggling urge of always wanting to cycle John O'Groats to Land's End
2. Wanting to reach out to the Townswomen's Guilds on a much larger scale
Since joining TG as the National Event Manager, I have become intrigued as to each of the Guilds and to the part they play in the community. After much consideration, I thought what better way of appreciating our members, than cycling from our furthest Northern Guild, in Thurso, to our most Southern Guild, in Redruth.
My aim is to reach out to as many Guilds on route from John O'Groats to Land's End, over the 9 days from July 2nd to July 10th.
I have chosen to raise money for both When You Wish Upon A Star charity and Townswomen's Guilds itself. My target is £5,000 for each and I ask that you please donate to both equally. Although this is an ambitious target, I think that sums up my overall aim for this cycle!
You'll see my team fundraising target on the right. I would be beyond grateful if you could take the time to donate to either or both of the two fantastic causes, which do incredible things in return. I am extremely proud to be doing this cycle ride for TG, as I get to see on a daily basis the impact it has on our members and for When You Wish Upon A Star, which has a simple message: to grant the wishes of children living with life threatening illness.
