On August 15th I'll be setting off to cycle from Lands End to John O'Groats. That in itself is a fair challenge, but I've decided to do it with a twist & go via the National Three Peaks of Snowdon, Scafel Pike & Ben Nevis, running to the summit of each as I go. Just over 1000 miles & 78,000ft climbing in only eight days, averaging over 130 miles per day.
I will be cycling & running alone, with my wife Charlotte & our son Harry as support crew in the car.
I want to do this as a way to raise funds for two charities that are very important to me, Cancer Research UK with family members recently undergoing Cancer treatment & Cardiac Risk in the Young for the tragic recent loss of the amazingly talented young cycling Charlie Craig, son of legendary mountain biker Nick Craig.
