Memory Walk - What started as a conversation with my brother Mark about spending some time together going for a walk somehow turned into a 100 mile+ challenge! š We are going to walk the ‘Leicestershire Round’ which is a 102 mile walk around Leicestershire. We are going to do this over 5 days, starting on Wednesday 27 March 2019 and completing on Sunday 31 March. We are doing this to raise money and awareness for charities that are very relevant to us; The Laura Centre, Headway Leicester & Leicestershire and C-R-Y. We are hoping that friends, colleagues and acquaintances who are willing will join us on our challenge. Whilst we will be completing the whole hundred miles, others could choose to join us for as little or as much as they like. The walk has 39 stages varying from 1 to 4 & 1/2 miles, so there is something suitable for everyone. We also anticipate needing some help from car drivers to help in getting walkers back to their vehicles. Let us know if anyone is interested so we can give you further details.......By the way - we are both novices to walking currently - no prior experience needed! We now have over 40 people signed up to do parts of the walk with us.
