In July 2016 I was hit with the diagnosis of testicular cancer! After countless blood tests, appointments and scans I discovered my cancer had spread to my lymph nodes, stomach and lungs. I was told I needed immediate surgery followed by intensive chemotherapy treatment to aggressively attack the cancer.
Over a period of 5 months I had surgery, endless blood tests, 10 weeks, which was 4 cycles of relentless chemotherapy, endless symptoms and side affects most obviously being total hair loss, more scans and a small period of waiting for results. Just before the New Year I was told that my cancer was gone, no tumours, nothing left. I am now in full remission! I had an unbelievable support network and they know who they are, however this is to raise awareness for others. I have decided to run the Nottingham Robin Hood marathon this year and a few friends are going to do it with me. We are raising money for Orchid, a charity specialised in research, educational awareness and support for sufferers/fighters of males cancers. Please help us raise as much as possible to make a difference to people fighting cancer! Thank you!!
