Our aim is to raise money to share between The Geoff Smith Foundation for MS and Help the Heroes. Our team consists of eight 60 + years olds, including two members who have recently undergone major surgery, one receiving a new hip and Geoff who is an MS suffer himself who has just undergone major spine surgery.
The team plan to walk 110 Kilometres collectively, as the team have varying physical capabilities. They will complete the objective in 4 days, tracing the footsteps of the heroes of D Day. Starting at Utah we plan to lay a wreath at all five beaches on route.
As well as individual sponsorship for the walk, the team are seeking a companies to help fund the event logistics.
