We are the Putney Pushers. Thanks for taking the time to visit our JustGiving page.
We are 11 Putney friends: Becs, Claire, Emma, Ems, Jo, Katie, Kirsty, Laura, Rachel, Susie and Vicky; and are fundraising for Women V Cancer in the Ride the Night event. The challenge is on to cycle 100 km throughout the night on a route starting and finishing at the Windsor Racecourse. The route will take us into London past all the landmarks, including Putney Bridge! The distance is already a big challenge, coupled with riding at night. Some of us have not ridden a bike in decades!!!
We’ve all been touched by cancer and have loved ones we are remembering. So, to those lovely, lovely ladies, we love and miss you lots.
Please support us by making a donation to Women V Cancer, via this webpage. Otherwise, come out to support us on the night as we cycle through Putney and get ready with tea and bacon butties, please!!
Women V Cancer supports 3 very worthy causes:
Jo’s Cervical Cancer Trust https://www.jostrust.org.uk/
Breast Cancer Care https://www.breastcancercare.org.uk/
Ovarian Cancer Action http://ovarian.org.uk/
Remember: Donating through JustGiving is simple, fast and totally secure. Your details are safe with JustGiving - they'll never share them with anyone or send you unwanted emails. Once you donate, they'll send your money directly to the charity. They'll make sure Gift Aid (an additional 25%) is reclaimed on every eligible donation by a UK taxpayer, too. That means more money goes to the charity, faster, with JustGiving.
Team Update 24/04/18
With just under 2 weeks to go, training is well and truly underway as we clocked approximately 70km on our last ride. Final long ride this Friday. Velosport bike session tomorrow and we’re all set with some taper sessions next week and a practise night ride.
Thank you all for the amazing support, you have been so generous and it’s very much appreciated. All going to 3 fabulous causes. There’s still plenty of time if you wish to donate but haven’t managed to press the button yet....
See you on the other side!!
Lots of love
