We will be running in the Nike Run to the Beat Half Marathon on Sunday 28th October. This 13.1 mile race starts and finishes at the O2 Arena and does a lap around the Greenwich Peninsula. We will be raising money for two important causes.
Lively Minds is a small charity making a huge difference to the lives of thousands of children and their families living in poverty in rural Ghana and Ugandathrough cheap and sustainable early years education projects. They train vulnerable mothers to run educational play schemes for all the 3-6 year old children in their village. These simple Play Schemes transform lives - educating children at an early age in a way that can make a big difference to their future development.
We are also raising money for St Mary's Church in Caterham. Our newly refurbished church hall is now up and running but we still need a further £20k to complete this vital work. Our hall provides a much-needed space for various groups in the Caterham community.
