On September the 4th I'll be swimming the 10 mile length of Lake Windermere in this event http://www.windermereoneway.co.uk/
Training is going ok. I've been doing lots of 2 and 3 milers in the pool and I'm now increasing the distance in the lakes in North Wales. I hadn't intended on raising money for charity but walking to work early in the centre of Manchester past the increasing number of people sleeping rough is too heart wrenching to ignore. Also, I have recently been touched indirectly by cancer and I'd like to raise money for cancer research. I'd like donations to be split 50/50 between Shelter and Cancer Research UK. The Just Giving website doesn't split your donation automatically so please look at the running totals and donate accordingly - or just donate to the cause you prefer.
