Swagelok IoM have entered two teams of four into this years ‘Longest Day Longest Ride’ 24hr MTB Endurance Event in support of ‘Muscular Dystrophy UK’
Muscular Dystrophy UK is the charity for the 70,000 people living with muscle-wasting conditions in the UK (including the IoM), bringing together people affected by progressive muscle-weakening and wasting conditions.
Muscle-wasting conditions are very rare, affecting just over one in every 1,000 people. Max, now 3 (pictured with the team) was diagnosed in 2012 with Becker Muscular Dystrophy and is one of the many little boys affected by this condition.
Since 1959, Muscular Dystrophy UK has been supporting families living with muscle-wasting conditions. They provide vital information, advice, resources and support for people with these conditions, their families and the professionals who work with them.
Swagelok have kindly offered to match internal associate donations which is greatly appreciated and a real boost to the fundraising.
